The JDM Search Engine uses the Google Custom Search Engine features to enable searching over a specific set of websites. We have collected over 100 websites, including all of the hard to find top Japanese brands and manufacturers. This enables simple searching for product numbers, products and other details which are often much harder to find amongst the greater Internet.

Each month the forum  Digital Tutors has a theme for developing 3D models, the month of June featured a R34 GTR theme. The mighty Nissan was modelled and rendered in competition with other members. Some fantastic results and hopefully they continue the theme with other Japanese models in the future!

What price will the GTR be in Australia?

Nissan R35 GTRVisiting the Melbourne Motorshow recently, I was incredibly pleased to see the new Nissan R35 GTR in the flesh! The new supercar from Nissan, the successor to the ever popular R32, R33 and R34 skylines, the new GTR pushes Nissan right into Porsche and Ferrari territory. The everyday supercar looks like it is a reality.

But wait, the loud and somewhat obnoxious Nissan salesman proudly proclaimed the dominance over the Porsches in Germany and the other great achievements, but also slipped in an expected price of around $150,000.

With the announcement of the UK pricing, I wanted to do some investigation, $150k doesn't sound too everyday to me anymore.

Now lets do the currency conversion to Australian dollars using the current exchange rates:

So lets this right, if I were to buy the highest specification model from the US I would be paying half the price of the lowest specification model sold in Australia. That is a difference of over $70,000 Australian dollars - or a new Evo/STi. We certainly are living in the lucky country.

According to Clarke, GM, the world's largest automaker, will offer 11 ethanol-capable vehicles in the market this year and 15 will be added in 2009. He added that in 2010, GM will pioneer the production of Flexfuel Chevrolet HHR, a four-cylinder ethanol-capable vehicle model.

2009 Chevrolet Traverse To Offer XM NavTraffic

The all-new 2009 Chevrolet Transverse that had its first public appearance at the said event, will be the first Chevrolet car to offer the award-winning XM NavTraffic as a standard feature along with its standard hood and engine parts. XM's concurrent traffic information service, the XM NavTraffic, will be offered on Traverse vehicles.

GM and Toyota Still On the Racetrack

After being on top of the auto business, being the world's number one automaker for 77 years, General Motors (GM) was beaten by rival Japanese automaker Toyota in global vehicle production. Last year, GM won the crown for global vehicle sales, selling 9,369,524 vehicles around the world, gaining a 3 percent sales increase than the previous year. That was about 3,000 vehicle sales more than Toyota, timesonline reported.

Trackday Films proudly Presents: The biggest, loudest closest drift event in Europe returns on exceptional form with one of the best show-drift tracks designed. With 70mph entries, huge sweeping corners, jumps (yes - jumps), and walls to scrape - this was always going to be a lot of fun. In the end, it turned into one of the best top 32's ever seen, and the standard of driving was gobsmacking. The event was comparable in atmosphere and skill to the RedBull world championship finals with Formula D last year - a testament to how hard JDM have worked on this event, and also how much the skill level has improved yet again within Europe.
